Hi, I’m Duncan and I’d like to say a big thanks for checking out my site. I’ve been living in Putney since around 2011 having started working in the fitness industry a couple of years prior and following a few years training people all over the capital am now focused mainly on getting people up and moving in the local area.
Professionally I spent a couple of years working the gym floor in a Cannons Health Club just south of London before moving to work as a trainer for a Nuffield Health gym at one of the big banks over in Canary Wharf.
Back in 2011 when I first moved to Putney I set up my own mobile personal training business called Soul Active Training both training clients and providing quality trainers all over London. I also set up ‘Run Club London’, hosting regular beginners group running workouts at 6 locations throughout the capital.
As mentioned, having had a great time trying out all aspects of the industry for a good period, I downsized a couple of years ago now working with just my own clients in the local area as well as running my ‘Putney Bootcamp‘ group in the picturesque Wandsworth Park.
Naturally, across the years I’ve had the chance to work with a great selection of clients from those looking to get wedding ready, marathon ready or just kick start their fitness so whatever your goals I should have the experience and know how to get you moving in the right direction.
Just on a personal fitness level my orginal background is mainly gym and strength based though I started to move towards more endurance sports as I’ve got older with a fair few 10k’s, triathlons and a couple of marathons now under my belt.
In recent years my passion has mainly been road cycling and when not training clients you’ll generally find me out in Richmond Park dodging deer and chasing pb’s. I ride for both London Dynamo and Putney based Velosport CC, the latter of which I captained in 2023 with my proudest achievement being having qualified as a Cat 2 racer.
I believe training should be fun and the key to success is finding something you enjoy.
